Learn More About Hatch Architecture
Hi! I’m Matt, Architectural Technologist and owner of Hatch Architecture Ltd. I’m a multi award-winning graduate from the Grenfell Baines School of Architecture and have over 20 years experience in the field- working for both local and nationally recognised architects before establishing Hatch Architecture Ltd in 2013.
I am passionate about the contribution good design can play in people’s health and wellbeing, be it a home where a family can better communicate, a social or functional need for natural daylighting, or a connection to nature for end of life care. For this reason, my professional ethos is based around one off person centered design; I listen to peoples needs, then explore design opportunities and solutions aiming to meet and surpass those needs.
My background encompasses the technical aspects of architecture such as: how buildings go together, respond to their environment, and how function can best benefit the users. My approach is also design and aesthetically focused and with this I aim to give my clients a full and comprehensive design service.
All the projects on this site have been designed, coordinated and secured through statutory approvals by me personally, up until the commencement of the building works on site. I welcome you to browse the website and look forward to speaking with you about your future project. Let’s build together.

Hatch Architecture's Design Process
1. Initial Consultation

Create initial design concepts, including sketches and ideas, to explore different possibilities
3. Design Refinement
Collaborate with the client to refine the chosen concept, considering functionality, aesthetics, and budget constraints.
4. Final Design
Produce detailed architectural plans and documents, including blueprints and specifications, for construction and regulatory approvals.
